What we are offering

We are running a 3-year programme called Stronger Communities to provide intensive support for two community partners per year in the North East, a region identified as a legal aid ‘desert’.  Our aim is to enabling grassroots organisations to cultivate their own immigration advice and support skills

Our support to partners includes:

  • A sub-grant of £5,000 enabling organisations to give their staff time to engage in our training and support, and to help maintain their services
  • Developing organisational needs assessments and action plans
  • Quarterly mentoring meetings
  • Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) training at levels 1 and 2+
  • Help to register with the IAA
  • Study support for IAA assessments
  • Bespoke support to strengthen immigration advice capacity
